ECO BRASS® C69300 is a high-performance, lead-free brass. ECO BRASS C69300 lead-free and compliant with the Federal Drinking Water Act. It comes in hexagon, round, and other shaped brass rods and brass bars. It’s a great replacement for leaded fittings and its corrosion resistance properties make it an excellent solution for water supply and plumbing applications.

ECO BRASS C69300 has excellent dezincification corrosion resistance and excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance. ECO BRASS C69300 is corrosion-resistant to chemicals found in water and gas. ECO BRASS C69300 has high strength equivalent to stainless steel. ECO BRASS C69300 also has good machinability, excellent hot forgeability, easily accepts solder and brazing, and has excellent polishing and plating capabilities.

ECO BRASS C69300 also meets the U.S. EPA standards for antimicrobial performance which kills Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella choleraesuis, Mycobacterium bovis (BCG), Clostridium difficile, and viruses. Therefore, it can be used as an antimicrobial touch surface in homes and health care facilities.

CUZN30 Yellow brass CuZn30 CUZN30 CW505L  C26000

CUZN30 brass, also known as C26000, is an alloy of copper and zinc. Its copper content is 70% copper and 30% zinc. This yellow brass has the highest ductility of all yellow brass. It is very easily polished,  

Lead-free brass, optimized for cold forming. This alloy is recommended for stamping and deep drawing.  In contrast, it is not recommended for hot forming and its machinability is poor as compared with leaded brass. The electrical conductivity is 27% IACS. 

Cold formability is excellent, hot formability very poor. The alloy is very easily cold drawn and stamped.  It is one of the most suitable brasses for mirror polishing. Annealing in air requires subsequent pickling to remove the surface oxide layer. Annealing can also be done in a neutral (Argon) or reducing (cracked ammoniac,(N2+H2) atmosphere.The most performant microstructures and mechanical properties are achieved with annealing temperatures to  the lower bound of the temperature interval given above. Machining is difficult. Machinability is estimated at 30% on a scale with the free cutting brass CuZn35.5Pb3 at 100%

CuZn36Pb3 alloy has special characteristics for machining operations, allowing to obtain optimum results through free cutting operations.

As well as the improved dezincification / corrosion resistance the CW602N / CZ132 also offers good strength levels, is readily machined and easily hot forged. Its primary usage over the years has been for water fittings that are produced by hot stamping and machining.

CW614N, Free cutting brass, is a significantly improved form of 60/40 brass, with excellent free cutting properties. It is used in the mass production of brass components where maximum output and longest tool life are required, and where no further cold forming after machining is required

CW617N are the reference materials for hot working. The mean Lead content provides good machinability of the drop-forged part. Because of its, Composition the alloy is also suited for the production of drawn and complex profile.

Fabrication and Heat Treatment

Annealing

UNS C38500 architectural bronze alloys are annealed between 427 and 593°C (800 and 1100°F).

Cold Working

UNS C38500 bronze alloys have poor cold working capacity.

Welding

Brazing and soldering processes are recommended for UNS C38500 bronze alloys. Welding processes not recommended for these alloys include spot welding, gas shielded arc welding, seam welding, coated metal arc welding and oxyacetylene welding

Forging

UNS C38500 bronze alloys can be forged between 621 and 732°C (1150 and 1350°F).

Machinability

UNS C38500 bronze alloys have a machinability rating of 90.

Hot Working

UNS C38500 bronze alloys have excellent hot forming capacity.
